World Supremacy Battlegrounds Announces Official Dates for the 2027 World Championship in Hong Kong

Hong Kong to welcome the world’s street dance community from April 15–18, 2027

The countdown has officially begun.

World Supremacy Battlegrounds (WSB), one of the world’s premier international street dance competitions, is proud to announce that the WSB World Championship 2027 will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong from April 15–18, 2027, bringing together thousands of dancers, choreographers, judges, creators and supporters from across the globe for four unforgettable days of competition, culture and connection.

Following a year-long international qualification campaign spanning multiple continents, the world’s best dance crews and battle champions will converge in Hong Kong to compete for the prestigious WSB World Championship titles while celebrating the global street dance movement that has united communities for more than two decades.

The four-day event will feature elite team championships, international dance battles, workshops, industry networking opportunities, live entertainment, cultural experiences and community activations, transforming Hong Kong into the meeting place for the world’s street dance family.

For the first time, competitors and supporters from more than 20+ countries are expected to travel to Hong Kong, making it one of the largest gatherings in WSB history and further strengthening the city’s reputation as an international destination for sport, arts and youth culture.

Why Hong Kong?

According to WSB Founder Marco Selorio, Hong Kong represents far more than a championship venue—it represents opportunity.

“Hong Kong is one of the world’s great international cities. It sits at the crossroads of East and West, making it the perfect place to unite our global dance community. Its accessibility, vibrant culture, incredible food, world-class infrastructure and position as a gateway to Asia make it an ideal destination for dancers, families and supporters from every continent.”

Selorio believes the championship will extend beyond the competition floor by creating meaningful opportunities for dancers and creative entrepreneurs.

“WSB has always been about building futures through dance. Hong Kong offers our community opportunities to connect with global creatives, brands, educators and emerging technologies. We want dancers to leave with more than medals—we want them to leave with friendships, collaborations, career opportunities and memories that last a lifetime.”

He added that the World Championship reflects WSB’s long-term mission of empowering dancers through international experiences and cultural exchange.

“Every qualifier held around the world leads to this one destination. For four days, Hong Kong will become the home of the global street dance community. Different languages, different cultures and different styles all come together on one stage. That’s the true spirit of WSB.”

More Than a Competition

Established in Australia in 2004, World Supremacy Battlegrounds has grown into one of the most respected international street dance brands, hosting events across six continents while connecting hundreds of thousands of dancers worldwide.

The 2027 World Championship aims to become WSB’s biggest international celebration yet, combining elite competition with tourism, education, entertainment and cultural exchange in one of Asia’s most dynamic cities.

Additional announcements regarding the official venue, judging panel, ticket sales, travel packages, accommodation partners, entertainment program and special guests will be released in the coming months.

Dance studios, crews, choreographers and supporters are encouraged to begin planning their journey as national qualifying events continue around the world.
