Jakarta, Indonesia – World Supremacy Battlegrounds (WSB), the premier international street dance competition, is set to make its highly anticipated debut in Indonesia with a qualifier event on May 3, 2025, at Ice Palace Lotte Mall in South Jakarta. This marks the first time WSB is holding a qualification event in the country, providing a golden opportunity for Indonesia’s top hip-hop and street dance crews to showcase their skills on an international stage.

The best-performing crews from the qualifier will earn an invitation to join the WSB Indonesian National Team, representing the country at the WSB World Finals in Dubai, UAE, from July 9-13, 2025. The World Finals will gather the world’s most elite dancers, making it one of the most prestigious street dance competitions globally.

Country Director Yusar Odang wants the whole Indonesian dance community to come out and actively participate in WSB Indonesia.

“Hosting WSB in Indonesia is a dream come true! It’s incredible that we have this opportunity to host such a spectacular international event.  This has been a long time coming, and we’re so thrilled to see it become a reality. We’re thrilled, and our dancers are ready to showcase their talent this May. We’ve poured our hearts into this, and we’re determined to make it unforgettable.”

We’re ready to welcome dancers and fans nationwide to witness the power and artistry of Indonesian dance.  The stakes are high: winners will represent us at the WSB World Championship in Dubai this July. We’re ready to set a new standard,” said Odang.

WSB Founder Marco Andre Selorio expressed his own excitement about bringing the event to Indonesia:

“Indonesia is home to some of the most naturally gifted and passionate dancers in the region. Their deep love for music and dance, combined with a rich cultural heritage, deserves to be showcased on a global stage. We are excited to bring WSB to this incredible country,” said Selorio.

 

The WSB Indonesia Qualifier will feature various competition categories, including Open, Monster, Cell, Junior, Schools and Varsity, offering dancers of all styles and backgrounds the chance to battle for national pride and international recognition. It is expected to attract top-tier dance crews, industry professionals, and passionate fans, making it a landmark event for the Indonesian dance community.
