Dominican Republic Officially Onboarded with Erick Guzmán as Country Director

SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC — Global street dance competition powerhouse World Supremacy Battlegrounds (WSB) is officially launching in Latin America with the onboarding of the Dominican Republic as its first national affiliate. This historic expansion is spearheaded by the newly-appointed WSB Country Director and Event Partner, Erick Guzmán, who will lead the charge in building a vibrant dance ecosystem in the Caribbean region.

Founded by Marco Andre Selorio of Australia, WSB is one of the world’s most recognized street dance championships, hosting elite competitions across continents and culminating in the prestigious WSB World Finals in Dubai, UAE this July 2025.

Selorio, deeply aware of the economic challenges many Latin American dancers face, is partnering with Guzmán on a bold mission:

What’s Coming to the Dominican Republic

Under Guzmán’s leadership, the Dominican Republic chapter of WSB will roll out a strategic development plan that includes:

• Talent identification and national team formation

• Fundraising programs and sponsorship outreach

• Content creation and international profile building

• Exchange programs, shows, and short film opportunities

• The inaugural WSB Dominican Republic qualifier in Q1 2026

• Launch of a web3 technology for dancers (coming soon)

The ultimate goal? To bring a team of Dominican dancers to WSB Dubai 2025/2026, and open long-term international doors for the nation’s vibrant street dance community.
